Keith Brenton and David Mears win in Weston-super-Mare

Although not a VIBE Tournament, the Weston-super-Mare Open VI Singles Tournament, organised and run by Weston Lions (with support from other District 105SW Lions' Clubs), has become established as the opening tournament of the VI outdoor bowling season. This year's event saw seven B1 bowlers and twenty-six B2-B4+ players enjoy 4 days of friendly - yet fierce- competition. The weather was kind (despite a couple of 'wet' sessions) and a great time was had by all.

Alison Yearling was the Best Lady, with Keith Brenton winning the B1 title on shot difference from Richard Carey, with George Phillips in third place.

VIBE Chairman David Mears was victorious in the Open section, with Wales' Toby Warren in second place and Alan Lyne taking the bronze medal.
